Five Below can be a bit overwhelming at times. Other times, you want to buy everything you see. This week, I settled on 5 items that I couldn't leave without. Welcome to my first Five Below Blog!
1. Color Changing Straws - $3.25
There are 18 reusable straws in this pack that come in blue and pink. The packaging states they are BPA & Lead Free, and work best in iced beverages. When cold, they turn a purple and darker blue.
If all you wanted was color changing reusable straws, this will tick the boxes.
2. 360 Degree View Track - $10
This is the biggest surprise from my haul and biggest surprise out of everything I've purchased from Five Below in the past. This is an AI 360 degree object tracking tripod. You download an app from the App Store of your choice and it will connect via bluetooth with the tripod. It is battery powered and easy to set up. I loved how smooth the tracking was for this device. It definitely goes in a complete circle but you must manually tilt it up and down. If you have anyone in your life that enjoys posting on social media, this would be an insanely fun and inexpensive gift that they are sure to love.
However, if your social media loving friend enjoys dancing in their videos or other quick movements, this cannot keep up. Still, this is a good buy.
3. Urban Butterfly: Essential Beauty Table Top LED Vanity Mirror - $5
These come in pink, black, and white. They also come in a circle shape and a heart shape. This LED vanity mirror is battery operated and actually feels pretty sturdy even considering the price. I purchased the circle shape because the heart shape mirror seemed to be smaller. The light is just ok. Remember, this is battery operated so it cant give you all-around light you would expect from a vanity light. In my opinion, this is great for someone starting out with makeup who may already have decent light in their room.
Be warned, the battery slot on the back that powers the light heats up quickly.
4. Starlight Projector - $5
There are so many of these on the market and each one I consider buying even though I dont have any young person to buy one for. Purchasing this was a no-brainer because of the price tag and at the very least, it would be fun to test. When I opened then box, I almost thought I would need to take off the film but quickly realized the flimsy plastic film held the star shapes. This is battery operated and features one white light, and 3 color changing lights. For my first test, I turned it on in too big of a room. The stars and moon were incredibly blurry the further out they had to stretch. At first, I thought it was my camera making them that blurry but no, it really is blurry. For the second test, I chose a much smaller room to test it in and that faired better. It was still blurry but not as much as before. For $5, you get what you pay for in terms of charm. But if this were purchased for a small child, they would really love it.
Be warned, the color lights flash. The white light does not.

5. Mysterious Moonlight Pour Femme - $5
I'm not into buying fragrances at Five Below but my teen daughter wanted to see what one smelled like so we picked this up. Apparently, this is a knock-off fragrance of Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears (the tiny sticker on the front made sure to tell me that this is NOT what that is). Upon further investigation, they really did do their best to mimic the box and bottle. Im impressed. Not quite sure what the faux leather wrap around the bottle is but you know ... Difference! As far as the smell. It starts off soft and then gets a little harder. It definitely smells like a department store perfume that I run away from because of my allergies. Its not bad, just not my thing.
